5. Banana

;D

(someone had to do it)

I suppose so.  I'm well aware of the word and proud never to have used it.

Here's another board favorite - CHEAP.

That's because I didn't know how to spell them. :D

Not intentional.

How about over-used names?  Two come to mind - Richter and Karajan.

I have done the research!

Using the search function, "indeed", "box", and "great" all produce 40 pages of results. (I suspect that 40 is the maximum the board software allows.) My personal contribution is the word "crap", but it appears there are only 20 pages of "crap" on the site. (That statement is open to interpretation.) "Genius" weighs in at 19 pages, "profound" at 12 and "sublime" at 9. Alas, "banana" references only fill a paltry 3 pages. My extremely accurate scientific analysis has determined we need more "banana" threads.

Dittersdorf has gotten way too much ink for the talent, and I've unfortunately been one of the offenders.

Don - My God!  Now you're goin' to upset Gurn & I;) ;D

But, for those who may be interested in this composer, his 'real' name was just Carl Ditters; later in life he was given a noble position and a 'new' name had to be made up for this job, i.e. von Dittersdorf, thus he became known as 'Ditters von Dittersdorf' - so, for those who may be interested in purchasing music by this composer, search under all of these names -  :)

Not to be confused with Mr. Dithersdorf

"Prostitute" and "prostitution" are up and coming.

And I don't see "Mahler" often enough.

Wait, wouldn't white space be the most used character, and "the" or "a" the most used word?
I tried "the", with no results. I suppose no one uses the word anymore. I tried "a", and got 40 pages.

Kullervo

"Amazing" brings up 33 pages of results.

Herman

"mini-van brothel" (No, that's not a name)
