Hi!

I am right now listening to David Diamond's violin concerto No.2 (released on a Delos CD once) and fully enjoying his backwards looking, pure romantic and melodious composing style. I wish I can listen to his other violin concertos (I remember -hoepfully correct- he wrote 3 in total). Does anybody know of recordings of the other violin concertos?

Thanks!

I'd be surprised if they're not in the American Classics series on Naxos. If not, they've maybe not gotten to them yet.

Not that  I am not aware of . I just have the one your listening to. I also have his violin sonatas 1&2...

According the the Wikipedia Bio on Diamond, he did write three Violin Concertos - I also have only No. 2 on the Delos label - just have four CDs of his music, although according to the bio listing of works, he wrote 11 Symphonies & String Quartets; must be a lot of chamber music, also, which is not listed; I have a 'New World Recording' of some of his chamber works -  :)

Thanks, but I only listen to 20th century violin concertos. So no chamber music, thanks.
Nobody here recorded a broadcast performance of No.1 or 3??

Any particular reason for the restriction you've placed on your listening?

That is the one with the Violin Sonatas that I mentioned. I have most of his symphonies on Delos and his String Quartets on Albany.....

No. It just happened about 10 years ago and I still enjoy it. So many works to listen to!
