Today from amazon.de, Sandor Vegh's cycle of Mozart Divertimenti, Serenades, Cassations and Marches.

Individual jewel boxes:

The price was irresistable: €23.95, free shipping.

Sarge
the phone rings and somebody says,
"hey, they made a movie about
Mahler, you ought to go see it.
he was as f*cked-up as you are."

What a terrific collection & excellent snag, indeed! You'll be bound to enjoy that over & over again.

Unfortunately for my fellow forum members, I seem to have bought the last one Amazon had in stock. The sale price is still being offered, though, but with a one to three week wait. And yes, I am going to enjoy this. Believe it or not, in a collection of 10,000 LPs and CDs, I had very few of these works already. I didn't even have the Haffner!

Not to worry, Sarge. MDT has this for $21 w/o shipping. The offer lasts for only a few more days, though. :)

Shocking! ;D

I think it might be that MDT has always had it at that price, I bought it from them a few years ago for that price, and it was still cold outside.  It could be that I just happened to hit a sell, but I bet not.

Desert island material. The Prokofiev is great, too!  :) (haven't heard the others)

Fabulous!  But for those who own this set, the 'packaging' please?  Separate jewel boxes or slip cases?  My Boccherini Capriccio set of a similar amount of discs came in individual jewel boxes - just becomes a storage issue, as always!  Thanks for any info - Dave  :D

Jewel cases, it's NOT a space saver! :D

David - how did I know that you would say that!  :'( ;) ;D

Well, I already have about 3-4 discs of those works (and LOVE them!) - what to do?  Let me think - but thanks - Dave  :)

Sure hope that Dave has an Angel on his other shoulder.  ;D
