Anyone who can relate?

I think what your asking in this forum is what do people talk about? Personally I have no idea. Small talk bores me to death, especially gossip. My last roommate loved soccer, so I let him talk about that. I ended up learning a little bit about it, mainly kick people in the knee if they piss you off.

It's hard to make small talk with people who don't share your interests. If you have nothing to say, then don't say anything. That's just how it is. Finding friends in high school is tough for most bookish people (well, it was for me) who tend to find themselves marginalized. I didn't make any lasting friendships until Senior year, and I still talk to them about every other day, nearly three years after graduation. Don't feel the need to go out of your way to impress people. If you just be yourself, you'll weed nearly all of the fairweather friends and homeroom acquaintances and make real, important friendships.

i still talk to a few friends from last year on myspace 
that's good that you still talk to your friends in high school, since a lot of people totally lose contact with them by moving somewhere completely different and all...


i just read- the classes for the school i want to go to starts up 8/20, which is only about 2 1/2 months! 
still looking for a job, car, the basic stuff, but knowing that it really isn't too far away is a great thought 
phew....

and what's really funny is that the school is literally by the side of my little brother's school, it's like the next-door neighbor, within walking distance (i didn't even know until he told me). What'd be even funnier is it worked out where I could actually drive him to school while i go to school, though the times might not actually be the same, but if they were-  .

nah, i take that back..... i'd drive him to a forest so he could walk to school and be late and then if he told my mom what i did, i'd secretly punish him so he could be yelled at
