Got my copy of Gatsby and starting it today. Monk is on order and should hopefully be here by October.

What if Screw wins the vote, Corey?

DavidW

We could always just split into two discussion groups-- one for screw and one for monk. :)

The two books could be merged . . . The Great Screw.

No, no, no.

Such an upset victory doesn't seem indicated, Dave.

When does the voting close?

ChamberNut

I'm still crossing my fingers for Frankenstein;D

I cast my vote for Turn of the Screw. I think it will be an easier read and easier to find (though I know many of you like the challenge of obscurity). ;D  Plus, Netflix has 5 movie versions, 3 of them of the opera by Britten, which could provide an extra GMG dimension. Vote for James!

Saw part of what looked like a fine film version with Deborah Kerr. Titled The Innocents.

Monk 3
Screw 4

I should go back and check if people are voting twice. But, nah. I trust you guys.  0:)

Reading one doesn't necessarily bar me from reading the other. :)

... so, anyone else finished with Gatsby? :)

Jumped the gat, so to speak -- yes. ;D

I may read it twice. It isn't that long.
