      I think you're right that not everyone who opposes Obama is a racist, but all racists oppose Obama, and the opposition appears designed to appeal to prejudice. The Republicans have chosen to align themselves with every type of yahooism that crawls out of the muck. So it doesn't much impress me that there are a few old-fashioned conservatives left among them who are opposed to a liberal President on grounds of policy and principle.

I know, man... after reading this, I'm kinda shocked that anyone could even think this way (and of course, someone on the right saying the same things about the left would be just as bad)- but what should I expect?
