Maybe interesting for the Hildegard von Bingen fans here... FYI, there's a movie starting at 2009-09-24 "Vision - Aus dem Leben der Hildegard von Bingen". In Germany/german, don't know of translations.

Thanks for the update, Wurst. I mentioned this in your thread "Outdated, funny, old english names" some time ago.

.... I understand there's a movie about Hildegard in the making with Margarethe von Trotta as director. Now, I wonder who will play Hildegard...?  :)....

However, I hate to disappoint you, but the poster you have above is the wrong "Vision." ;D ;D  ;)

Ah I have overseen your remark in the other thread,,,,
[image] No, sometimes people dislike hotlinking content from their servers. I'm too lazy to upload it by myself.

Who's idea was to use a blue eyed German woman for the role? I think that lacks in diversity, and is an incitement to Nazism. They should have made her a negro instead. Better still, they should have made her a lesbian as well to better reflect contemporary tastes and sensibilities.

Barbara Sukowa!

She was the Sprecher(in) in a DGG recording of Schoenberg's Gurrelieder about 10 years ago or so.

It was one of the weirdest interpretations ever!  She basically whooped and yelled her way through the part: you have to hear it to believe it!   :o

So she can actually sing?  Okay!  From my Gurrelieder CD, like I said, you would not get that impression!   :D
