Music Appreciation Records had many interesting performances of basic repetoire material, which was never commercially released, and has been pretty-much forgotten for decades. I have an excellent Beethoven Emperor Concerto with Moura Lympany, Mendelssohn Violin Concerto with Fredell Lack, and Brahms Sym. #2. The first two are with the Stadium Concerts Orch.(New York Philharmonic), Thomas Sherman & Alexander Smallens, conductors. The Brahms is with the Los Angeles Phil., under Alfred Wallenstein. All performances are fine renditions, in excellent sound. I am contemplating doing a restoration of these for a CD set. Anyone interested? Charge would be $16.00.  Steve Slezak (spcv1@netzero.net)
