Spontaneous combustion? Straight off to commune with Mother Russia? Perhaps just a lot of restorative beer after the show.

Let's not forget his harem.

Wein, weib und gesang. :)

Well.....sans song perhaps.

After a terrible opera night
Here comes the light:
Wein, weib und Telemann
Make Harry happy again.

(read Telemann as rhyming with again)

Very good....that noon deadline approaches, I have checked flights to Amsterdam and I have  borrowed a straight-jacket....don't ask....so am now prepared for the worst.

I suppose we ought to be thinking about phoning round the hospitals and police stations as a first move.  Anyone here speak Dutch?

I expect it'll turn out he's tied to a bed somewhere and can't reach the computer.  ::)

Quite possible. That Mighty Dozen of Russian females sounded pretty dangerous...  8)

Yeah - but he knew what he was getting into all right.  No-one protests that much except as a smokescreen.

OK, so what is our collective stance here? If he comes on and says he hated it and blames us, do we provide tea and sympathy or tell him to suck it up?

Consider me cruel and insensitive, but I think two more days of post-factum laments will be way too much, even for our dear Harry...  ;D

And does Nigel ever have Harry's number!

Possibly not in quite the way you mean.

I'll give the tea and sympathy, and then congratulate him on surviving the ordeal.  Aferwards you can tell him to suck it up (very manly) because odds are he won't have to repeat the torture.  I'm more interested in what we should say if he comes and says something like, "This was the greatest experience of my life!"   I will be at a loss for words.

karlhenning

He's going to change his ID to Chaliapin, you know.

knight66

Well Bunny, from his unusual silence, it was either an epiphany or a near-death experience. If he enjoyed it, perhaps some will feel he needs to be thoroughly chastised for evading the pleasure for so long.

My breath is bated.

Well, if it's a matter of fearing the worst, what's the worst, really?

He spends all of today listening to Telemann solid.

It's a fate from which you or I might shrink, but Harry really goes for it  8)

Bunny

Has anyone checked the opera forum?  that's where he said he would post a review.  Also, he threatened to go on a bender afterwards to dull the pain. He may be too hung over to post.
