If you like [not-so-modern composer's name goes here], then you might also like [modern composer's name goes here].

some guy

Hmmm, like "If you like Kagel, then you might also like Steen-Andersen," like that?

Or "If you like Ferrari, then you might also like eRikm"?

The new erato

Or, more obviously, if you like MN Dave, then you like Amvend?

The Modernists on the forum are blowing their big chance to pull some folks out of the 17-19th centuries.  :D

Maciek

I think your use of the plural is a little hasty... :P

some guy

What is a "modernist"?

I'm alive right now. It's 2009. I listen to music written in the past ten years or so. Does that make me a modernist? I dunno. Just feels to me like I'm listening to interesting new music.

And I'm pretty sure I don't want to pull any folks out of the 17-19th centuries. (Are you saying you want to see "If you like Haydn, then you might like Ligeti"? Absurd. Or you might have meant this kind of absurdity, "If you like Sibelius, you might like Rautavaara." I wouldn't want to have anything to do with any of those absurdities. However, I'm pretty sure that if you like Kagel, you will like Steen-Andersen.)
