Indeed, a very Happy New Year to everyone at GMG.

We have had our New Year in the UK, so the festivities although continuing; are a few hours ahead of our American Friends  ;D  And I am probably 20+ alcohol units of mainly wine this year ahead of most persons over the pond.

There was a TV programme over here yesterday, and the topic was basically....

HOW WILL YOU VERBALLY "SPEAK" THE WORDING OF "THIS NEW YEAR"...

Will you say Two Thousand and Ten or Twenty Ten?

Personally I am for the latter....Twenty Ten

I slept through NY until 3am intentionally, as I don't find the event appealing, and people are still on cams having various rowdy parties. So many bodyparts and alcohol units :-X

Right before midnight we idly turned on CNN, with the worst-matched co-hosts in TV history: the Ivy League-urbane Anderson Cooper and the un-hilarious, trashy Kathy Griffin. Cooper could do nothing but laugh mirthlessly at Griffin's tasteless comments. Otherwise it was a pretty good New Year's Eve....
