For me it must be roughly 3 hours, never seems to be enough, i don't think i utilize my recorded collection enough, i really need to push this up to five hours.

And yet i like quiet times away from music too.

How about you, do you overdose on music, or you just can't get enough?.

I am lucky in having a reasonable amount of free time and happily listen for about 3-4h on most Weekdays and all day (10-12h) on the Weekend :).

I'd say 7 hours a day on the weekdays, about 3 per day on the weekends.  My wife works on the weekdays.
The totals include listening while on the computer and while driving.

I aim for an average of at least 2 hours a day of music, whether live or recorded--and that means listening to music while not doing anything else.  But now and then I have a free weekend afternoon, and enjoy listening for 4-5 hours or more, e.g., a long opera or comparative listening to different versions of the same piece.

i used to do 3-5 a day. Now it's more like 1 or less. Depends, if I find a interesting recording, I'll take time out and listen to it.

Most of my listening time is usually at night, which I can get in about 3 hrs. If I'm off of work, I can get a few more hours maybe 5 hrs. I like to stay busy doing other things, but I try to make time for music everyday.

I usually listen in the evenings, averaging about 4-6 hours per day (my own cd's as well as radio). Weekends I often listen to less recorded music, but often go to see a live concert.

Listening, or hearing?  ;)

I can rarely rake-in more than an hour of active, careful listening during days when I'm working.  Of course, in rehearsals I am listening to music that we are working on, but that's a slightly different kind of listening.  If we've had long and intensive rehearsals - usually in the final week of production - then I'm usually washed-out and not able to give other music its fair share of attention.

At the weekends I aim to find 2-3 hours for a complete opera, with my headphones on and away from distractions.

I try to go to at least one live performance per week - concert or opera - and the conditions there are the most conducive to rewarding listening.   During the summer months, however, the concert and opera seasons have ended, and there is not so much choice of performances to attend (except, of course, my own).
