I wonder if this is a mix of the Philips and Westminster recordings, or includes some pirate recordings, or what.  Some of it is in my collection (I have the complete Philips recordings and some of the Westminster recordings), but without knowing the source, I can't say what the recordings are like.  My guess is that if they are not the ones I own, there are still probably pretty good.

It's on the Documents label, so it's a pretty safe bet that every single recording on the set will be pirated. :)

No, all the recordings are more than fifty years old.

Besides,  have you got any proof that any of the releases from the Documents label is pirated?

I don't have proof, but they're pirated.

There was an explosion of European "historical" labels issuing historical performances in the late 1990s. What they almost all had in common (Documents included) was: extremely low prices; no audio engineer credited for the remastering; no recordings ever issued that hadn't appeared on CD already.

The last of these points is of course a very good indication of what these labels are actually doing.

I am not sure you are right, would you mind to prove your argument?

It is neither that difficult nor expensive to convert vinyl to CD. You just need a standard CD recorder, and remastering is not necessary.
