Kind of like DR's idea for CDs but different. Each member chooses one book--fiction, non-fiction, whatevah; don't select a book that someone else has already mentioned. Easy.

What do you mean by "Most Important."  Influence on the world and civilization, or important to the development of the art of writing books?   If practical influence is meant, "Dummy's Guide to Microsoft Windows might be the most important book ever written.   8)
