I found it very interesting to see a production that reproduced the original choreography of Stravinsky's Le Sacre du Printemps.  Amazing that it took so long for such a thing to appear.  Then there's Ravel's Daphnis et Chloé, another Ballet whose music is widely performed, but which seems to be rarely performed as a Ballet.  Searching on Amazon, the only option is paying a exorbitant price for a decrepit old VHS video tape of a very old production.  Is the choreography of Ravel's Daphnis et Chloé lost, or just that bad?  I would love to know what it was like.

The large orchestra required for Daphnis  would be a major obstacle in staging it - 4 horns, 4 trumpets, 2 harps,  2 oboes and an english horn, chorus, etc.  though there are cover parts in the orchestra for the chorus.   And then finding a pit large enough to accommodate them...

I'd be definitely interested to see it as well, original choreography was by Fokine and set design by Leon Bakst. Can't recall that I've ever seen any choreography of it. Could be because of orchestral/choral demands.

edit: upon checking it doesn't seem to be that rarely performed, beside Fokine's there are also choreographies by Frederic Ashton for Royal Ballet and by John Neumeier for Frankfurt (that one I'd like to see). Ballet just seems pretty under represented on DVD, apart from warhorses.
