visiting the Guardian's homepage just now, I saw a very familiar image. Given that the page linked to describes itself thus:

QuoteMusic Weekly: Live tracks special
This special festive edition of Music Weekly features all the live tracks recorded exclusively for us in 2010. There are plenty of treats in store including Miike Snow, Stornoway, Broken Bells and The Jolly Boys

Tracklistings

Miike Snow: Silvia
Fools Gold: Ha Dvash
Local Natives: Aeroplanes
White Rabbits: Rudie Fails
Husky Rescue: Sound of Love
Broken Bells: High Road
Andreya Triana: A Town Called Obsolete
Princeton: This Weather is Swimmer
Stornoway: Fuel Up
Chief: Night and Day
Jolly Boys: Waterboy

why is our friend Elgarian's avatar, or an image identical to the one which he presumably snipped from a score of the Elgar Violin Concerto himself, used to illustrate it? Mighty confused  ???

. . . snipped from a score of the Elgar Violin Concerto . . . .

Perhaps it is quoted in Husky Rescue: Sound of Love? . . .

It must be that! Of course, how silly of me....  :-[

But seriously, it is identical to his avatar, and I'm pretty sure that's not just a common piece of musical clip art, is it? Doesn't look like one.  Most odd

I'm every bit as confused as your esteemed self!

Eerie - and an even stronger reason for him to return to share in scratching our heads over the mystery :P

Discovering that they've been rumbled, the image is now missing from the Guardian's page:

I don't read music, so I looked at the phrase and "daa da daa daa, da daa da daa daa" and I heard it! In the orchestra, no less. Oh, how I love that piece.

I think we may yet be missing some significance in Husky Rescue: Sound of Love, though.
