I'm with ye...sort of.

Every CD I buy, it's the same old poop, different recording. I've heard it all so why do I keep buying it? Beats me.

Blargh.

I keep hoping the search for the Grail will lead me one day to Castle Anthrax.

Stokowski's classic recording with the Vienna Philharmonic and real Wagner tubas is preferred by purists, especially the bootleg off-the-air version remastered by Ward Marston on Golden Age Records.

Now I seem to be buying back all my old pop and rock albums.  ;D

I went through quite a similar phase. (Not quite all, to be sure.)

I've remained strong ; )

Chances are I could make February purely music-purchase-free, but for the moment I am leaving my whimsical option open.

Okay, officially off at present. (Although I am keeping the 'damages' to below $50.)

Seriously thinking of giving it another go for the month of March, though. Anyone else?

Well, because of Double Billing, receiving things I didn't ask for,... now my Bank Card is on Hold,... meaning I'm getting a whole new number (AGAIN! >:D) and all that fun. Sooo,... looks like my decision has been made for me.

Just in case I wasn't clear:

I'm already freakin' ruined for this month. I had maxed out my budget for the last fiscal period (16th to 15th of the month) and determined that I would be more prudent this period.  0:)

Then a couple of things happened. Don't they always happen?  Vol. 6 of the Hogwood Complete Haydn Symphonies came available at a good price in very good condition and I had to continue that commitment. Then, the Haydn Sinfonietta Wien "Complete Early Divertimentos" box came available today, which I have been waiting for nearly 3 years. OK, so I started off the month badly with a -$90 balance. can't I make it through the remainder somehow?  C'mon, guys, you're not helping me here... :'(

April, what do you think? A good month to exercise fiscal discipline?
