Looks like I'm the first voter:

Berlioz
Brahms
Chopin
Dvorak
Schumann

That was hard, I had to face the fact that I like Bruckner more than Tchaikovsky.

DavidW

Anyway mine are Chopin, Bruckner, Faure, Brahms and Dvorak.

Why isn't Alkan included?

Probably because he wrote principally (but not exclusively) for the piano. I tend to judge things by the piano, which is my instrument but here I am being more general. However, Chopin must still be included. My others are Berlioz, Schumann, Tchaikovsky and Mendelssohn. Then I realised I'd forgotten Brahms but I still think he's edged out here. From a keyboard point of view I would pick Fanny over Felix, for her extra bite and flair.

Schumann, Liszt, Verdi, Dvořák, Fauré

I forgot about Brahms, and he really should replace Fauré :(

Pretty easy poll for me: Berlioz, Bruckner, Brahms, Rimsky-Korsakov, and Tchaikovsky.

Really spoilt for choice in this one :):

Brahms, Dvorak, Faure, Mendelssohn and Tchaikovsky!  :D 0:)

eyeresist

Chopin, Wagner, Bruckner, Brahms, Dvorak.

I agonised over Smetana vs Dvorak for a while, as I just love and respect Ma Vlast so much. But in the end I think D wrote more great music.

abidoful

Bellini, Chopin, Schumann, Wagner, Bruckner
