Ramansky choreographed this ballet and he certainly has a sense of humor.  It's fun to watch and wounderful dancing by the American Ballet Theatre.
A good one to see if you are not a ballet goer.  His other ballet the Nutcracker is another ballet to see.

I liked the music and went on the hunt for a cd only to find out that the title of the music is Limpid Stream - no wonder they changed the name to Bright Stream.

Don't think many would want to see a ballet called Limpid Stream. :)

It certainly got excellent reviews. You are lucky to be able to see the ABT in action. Are you going to see Ovipova when she dances with ABT this season?. She is sensational in Flames of Paris DVD and looks like a great Kitri in the you tube excerpt.

Drasko

I'd love a chance to see Osipova live.

The lethargy of Bolshoi to release DVDs is inexcusable when they have the greatest Kitri of last thirty years (since Maximova), and she seems superb Giselle as well, judging by youtube.

And what does Bolshoi release? Flames of Paris, third rate piece at best. Silly.

Why not?

And actually, of course, the name of the ballet is Светлый ручей.

Unless there is a cast change, I won't to see Ovipova: 6/24 Cinderella - Kent, Gomes
7/7   Sleeping Beauty - Dvorovenko, Beloserkovsky

I'm really so lucky, my Brother gave me a subscription for my Birthday and he's not a ballet goer, we saw Don Quiote and
Bright Streams and so far so good.   ABT is my favorite Company and it's been such a long time - it's gotten so expensive.

I'm looking forward to Cinderella, I love Prokofiev's ballet music and I don't remember seeing a live production of Cinderella.  Won't be to long. :)

Thanks Listener, as you can see, I corrected the spelling.   :)
