Can anyone identify a piece of music from only 3 notes.  It's a famous piece of music I've only ever heard in cartoons when a character is sad.  Played mostly on a violin but have never known the title.

It's a waltz, second movement from The Snowstorm by  Georgy Vasil'yevich Sviridov (3/16/1915 - 1/06/1998).
