Hello Classical Music Lovers

I'm new and wanted to say hello  to everybody. I like especially Russian and Czech Music.

My favorite composers are

Balakirev,
Bortkiewicz,
Arensky,
Medtner,
Dussek,
Novak,
Suk, and the mighty Tchaikovsky.

I hope to find some members who like the same or at least one or two of those mentioned above.

Hi hypemus, and welcome. Lots of fans of Russian and Czech music here (including me) so I'm sure you will find some kindred spirits. That's a very fine list of composers you mention. Just last week I was listening to Suk's A Summer's Tale, one of many of his works I love.

I consider myself a fan of the Slavs, and yet I know almost nothing of the composers you have listed! There is always something new to learn, which I suppose is a good thing.

Welcome! I am a fan of 19th-century Russian music as well, but besides Tchaikovsky, I only know Balakirev and Arensky from your list... I googled the names and found some great music. Thank you! Vitezslav Novak, for instance, has a great piano trio available on YouTube.

Well, thanks for the warm reception. I will try to abide by the rules and offer my 2 cents when I read something that piques my interest.
If you need an opinion on these Composers and their Opus please post your question. Oh, I am interested in other composers, too. The ones mentioned are at the top of my list, I think my Musical soul is Slav.
