Don't laugh, this is what the graphic designer sees every day.

For good covers...

I thought this one was pretty descriptive of the music.

actually, most of the cpo releases have great cover art.

the phone rings and somebody says,
"hey, they made a movie about
Mahler, you ought to go see it.
he was as f*cked-up as you are."

The English version of Electric Ladyland is nice, but I'll just link to it.

For classical, I guess this isn't too bad:

Some Naxos titles have interesting artwork by Tim Smith and Olexander Borodai, but there are too many to search for.
The universe is change; life is opinion. - Marcus Aurelius, Meditations

People would rather believe than know - E.O. Wilson

Propaganda death ensemble - Tom Araya

That one should go here, I think. (The thread could use a revival.)

This one ought to be saved for a stemcell research thread.

Eric Dolphy "Out to Lunch"

Not classical, but still a classic.  I could have picked any of dozens of Reid Miles' designs for Blue Note.

In the outside of the Classic World,

I love this CD cover.  :)

The Storkes - Is this it?

A cd cover inspired by Hugh Hefner I see.  I'll bet classical cds would sell like hot cakes if they adopted covers like this one!!!!

They aren't that bad, honestly. They look good on your shelf, too. :)

I don't hate them, but they aren't among my favorites.

Pretty girl!  Beautiful music too...

She sure put on some weight between the two recordings (or lost depending on her discography)

I guess they are the "Related Rocks"?  ;D

I always liked the Chailly Mahler covers too, this one with the pentagram is kinda spooky:

Still very powerful:

I think it depends on your point of view.
