George Harrison. Because he was a Wilbury.

DavidRoss

George Harrison.

If you have to ask, then you probably wouldn't understand anyway.

DavidW

Ringo Starr because he is a lot of fun, never pretentious and the only underrated Beatle. 8)

Mn Dave

Paul, because he's cute.

No, that's not it...  :-[

karlhenning

Lennon, because he was the tormented soul who was never quite content with where/who he was, and then when he seemed to reach a point where he was content, a much less agreeably tormented soul robbed him of his life.

karlhenning

Gosh, I just cast a Pity Vote, didn't I?

chasmaniac

Lennon, because he was interesting.

That cruel participle . . . .

Brian

My head said George.

My funny bone said Paul.

Paul won.

I'm a sucker for a sense of humor.

That cruel participle . . . .

As in the (apocryphal?) Chinese proverb. But dammit, he was!

"Julia" sends me, but I still hear a tremor of horror in it. Gives me the shivers.

All this stuff about being interesting, or cute, or not pretentious, and the stuff about the indications of funny bones and the like ... they all have to be considered, yes; but these things pale, do they not, when faced with the simple Wilburian challenge?

Picture it: the throng is milling (as throngs are wont to do). The clatter of teacups mingles with the chatter of debate, from which words drift above the background now and then: 'Paul' ... 'oh so cute' ... 'but he can be slightly interesting' ... 'Ringo' ... 'Thomas the tank engine' ... John ... 'ah yes, tortured' ... 'what about Pete Best?' ... and so it goes on until sooner or later a single question, quietly asked, brings the whole room to silent contemplation and the shaking of heads:

'but was he a Wilbury?'

And she still hasn't been punished for her crime.

That's very funny, even if it's not remotely true. Without Yoko I think John would have truly perished far earlier. With her, he finally found some peace, even if it broke the Beatles. Without John's artistic vision, I can picture the Beatles as a moneymaking show machine of old men, as pathetic as The Rolling Stones.

That's silly. Lennon didn't "perish", he was murdered by some crazy wacko. I don't think there was ever any point in which he was teetering towards his own demise. And he never found peace with Yoko Ono, he just lost himself into her. She became the master, and him the slave. He squandered his own creative gifts and got bossed around by a pretentious quack. This is what it comes down to in the end.

Yep, with you and women it always comes down to that in the end.

Not as pathetic as giving up a successful music career to become an househusband. Yoko didn't just brake up the Beatles, she destroyed Lennon and turned him into a pathetic, impotent creature.

I can say the same thing about you and the rest of this forum. Your belief that women are wonderful creatures who can do no wrong under any circumstance his blinding you to the truth of what actually happened to Lennon.
