As is Greg!

Oh hey! I am back!  :) It's nice to be missed sometimes.

And even during my time away I would browse the forum every once in a while, just didn't post. This is still my favorite go-to spot for where and how to spend my money!  $:)

To be honest, my 2nd to last semester of school had me strung out enough that I was pretty much continuously high for the entire month of December. Doing good now though.

Ten years after completing conservatory undergrad w a piano performance major, I went for a second round bachelor-masters in theory and comp (piano minor, natch). Gen ed credits held, but since they were older than five years, none of the music credits counted.  I was in all essence, a freshman again.  As a full fledged adult ca. 30yo, it was 'easier' by that perspective.  When I was asked by people my age and then in their workplace what I was doing, and said 'went back to school,' they all said, "School is easy."  I thought to myself, "clearly, you never experienced being a fine arts major."  Lol.

Hope your performance (grade point average) was not affected... my hunch is it was not.  The anxiety over the expectations others have for you (family, profs, yourself) can make for an unbearable pressure.  It is easy to say 'just do this for yourself and meet your own expectations, because that is really enough.'  It is more difficult to do if you are a young person in college; still, your own expectations being enough and ignoring every other person's expectation is what I most recommend ;-)

Always best regards.

Rather than the Internet, eliminate unnecessary websites... just not this one! 0:) ;)

The decision is entirely your own of course. Personally speaking, I would give the internet a break, but, to be honest, I do a lot of reading on the internet about works or composers I'm interested in, so there you have it. Also, not coming here to bug the living daylights out of my fellow forum mates wouldn't be prudent to me. ;)

Your call to make, but selective surfing may do the trick as well as or better than an outright Internet fast.
