On topic: it's nice to see OrchestralNut (aka ChamberNut) back in the saddle!  8)

Indeed. Welcome back Nut!

Mahler, you ought to go see it.
he was as f*cked-up as you are."

Orchestral nut vs Chambernut

The same nut in a heavy fluffy winter coat? We recognize ya!

Your absence was a tough NUT to crack

Thank you all for the warm welcome back and the laugh.

I've been listening to much more symphonic and orchestral music the last three or four years. I felt it appropriate to modify the username.

Well, good to be a nut about something.  8)

(And welcome back.)

As pertaining to "missing members", are Scarpia, DavidW and Greg (Sock Monkey) still around?  Or reincarnated?

I miss Opus106 (Navneeth).  He was my very first classical music "friend" I had made about 15 years ago (via another forum), in my (and his) very early classical music exploration stage.

I have not seen them for a long time. The list of people that have disappeared is long, and many of my friends were on that list.

Scarpia tendered his resignation for several reasons, which I won't discuss here. I haven't seen DavidW post anything in years and I don't even think has an active account any more. Greg posts infrequently, but I haven't seen him in quite some time.

You're welcome. There have been many members that have left since you've last been active. Hell, even I left a few times while you were gone. :P

Unfortunately it is true that there were more interesting discussions and posts some years ago.

I think this is because the member base was decimated. I lost my old account in that ~ 6 months long downtime several years ago.

Still, I think there is something valuable in a small forum. I log into Talk Classical every few months then within 15 minutes remember why I only login a handful of times a year. Then a few months pass, and I forget and do it again  ;D
