It should be

(a) a country which produces a huge percentage of America's oil
(b) a country which won't put up much of a fight

Therefore, Canada.

I suppose an argument could be advanced for Venezuela. It would solve a lot of problems. And we know the country probably better than the Venezuelans do. Yep, it's got a lot going for it. :)

Orinico crude is so heavy, though.  Let's wait and see how that new Brazilian oil turns out first.

You can also bring back all their great El Sistema musicians to replace all those entitled jerks constantly striking for pay - I'm sure they'd work for less ;D

No, the US should invade itself instead.

Nonono. My wife works in oil and is going to Brazil for a business trip coming Sunday. Should she cancel?

Guess?

Haaretz is about as impartial regarding Netanyahu as Fox News is impartial about Obama.  Much of what is in that article is merely an expression of the editor's political opinions, and corresponds to reality only by accident in some places.   It's a very real possibility that the Iranian leadership now in place thinks the counterattack from Israel and the US would be an acceptable price to pay.  And even if they don't, it's very certain they would freely use the threat of nuclear weapons.

That said, the possibility of a US attack on Iran seems to be making greater noise here in the US than it was a short while ago.

She's probably safer in Brazil.  After all, Norway fits the requirements even better than Brazil.  (Or maybe Scotland instead of Norway.)

Neither did Iraq and that didn't do it any good, did it? When did the US ever need a reason other than the one it can make up?

Canada it is.

Their volcanoes are a threat to the world due to how they affect global warming. The solution: drop about 50-100 hydrogen bombs in the country to destroy the volcanoes!
Yeah!  :)

Short of turning this thread into nonsensical GW argument, I'd like to know how much of a threat they are with respect to the increase in average global temperature.

Yeah!  :)

Then lose all the geothermal vents in the process, and cry their eyes out when renewable energy sources become all the fad in a few decades' time.

Pakistan and India have nuclear weapons. They would attack each other and initiate the 3rd. war.
