Perfect for Henningmusick!

Atonal Honking is a sub-genre of Henningmusick.  ;)

I have a radio app on my iPad and iPhone on which I have programmed a number of favourite radio stations from around the world.  I'll generally hit one of those and see what's on.  The same app allows me to search for a station playing music by a given composer, but I guess that approach is disqualified by the "too much thought" rule.

I also use the shuffle feature on my iPod, mostly when running - but that is a subset of my iTunes library which amounts now to some 100,000 tracks all ripped from my CD collection, not to mention the 30,000 or so FLAC files.  I find it difficult to let go of the thought that I am missing something.  I do a lot of travel, with many 12+ hour flights, and I'll generally work a playlist in advance for those - exploring different recordings of the same piece, or a particular cycle.  I have good noise-cancelling headphones which make reasonably close listening possible, especially on newer and quieter aircraft.
