Bob Schumann

Hi, stumbled across this site while checking out a review and thought I must join ;D

Just a quick note to say; I've been into and collecting classical music for about 15 years now.

My all time favorite composers are; Bach, Beethoven, Schubert, Schumann, Tchaikovsky, Prokofiev, Birtwistle, Ades.

Cheers  :)

Hi Bob, and welcome. I'm a fan of pretty much all the composers on your list. Last week the New York Philharmonic played a beautiful new piece by Thomas Adès called Polaris - hope it gets recorded at some point since I'd like to hear it again.

Would love to know what pieces by him and by Birtwistle have caught your ear.

Hi Bob,

What a wonderful range of composers you have as your favourites! We share quite a few favourite composers as well, being Beethoven, Schubert, Schumann, Tchaikovsky and Prokofiev. I hope you like Mahler too - he is my absolute favourite!

Never mind, Daniel ! Time will come when future contributors will sign in as 'Hookedonhogan' & get teased for that too !
Will stick with you as a Mahler (& Hogan !) fan.
