How about this one? (Click on image for details)

I think that the SQ selection and the kempff stereo instead of mono will keep me away.  :-\

Florestan

This has been on my radar for a (too) long time.

Shouldn't this be stickied, BTW? Like the listening threads in general, it seems to fulfil a permenent purpose.

Guess this thread didn't get thumbtacked.  :-\

Done.

And if the other mods flame me for it - I'll blame it on you two! ;D

I don´t know for sure, since I know but a few of the items in the DG box, but I think that the Brilliant Classics 85CD or 100CD box will offer more value for money than the DG box. Other boxes to consider are the Sony LvB masterworks box and the French EMI comprehensive LvB box.
Reality trumps our fantasy far beyond imagination.

Not exactly "considering" since I don't even know where I could get them but has anyone ever heard of the label "Tryphon"*?? Or any of the CDs listed here (I'm interested in the Concerto Avenna recordings)? Does anyone know where to buy these on-line??

* - OK, perhaps it's not the name of the label...

don't buy any of the Rubinstein series in Naxos. The transfers are dismal compared to the AR collection.

I consider this set and I would like to sample one of the discs from my library. Which disc in this set should I sample? I sadly don't know these works yet.

One of the discs with the later trios (discs nos. 8-10), the disc with the trios with flute is also very nice (no. 6).

There is really not a single disc that will give you a wrong impression, all of those are very good.
Addictive it is, that's what it is, so take care. ;D
