Hi Kastchei, and welcome. I would guess from your username and avatar that your favorite composer might be...Stravinsky!

In any case, have a good time--there are a great many marvelous people here from all over the world.

It's definitely one of them, of course. Thank you!

He's obligated to say Gustav now!

...well, unless he surprises the hell out of everyone by saying OTTO MAHLER!

Imaging the welcomd he'd get if he also added Brian and Tippett to his list of favs.  ;)

On a side note, I really wish someone would record something by Otto Mahler. It will probably be bad, but I'd love to hear some...

Welcome Ruben, I hope you will enjoy the forum; we've already met on facebook, nice to see you here too.

Wonderful list of favourite composers, especially about what concerns Wagner and Mahler, they are two of my absolute favourites as well.

Welcome, Ruben!  From another fellow composer (albeit one who hasn't written anything in 14 years  :-[),  I'm sure you will enjoy yourself here.

Excellent choices all - some of my own favorites as well, especially the first three and the last one :)
So much great music, so little time...

I'm not a prolific composer, either. Thank you for your warm welcome!

Prokofiev and Haydn wouldn't do any harm on the list, either  ;D
