I didn't know Delius was blind. Interesting. He must not have had a lot of competition. One would think that blindness would lend a cachet of implausibility to Impressionism though...  :-\

He had normal eyesight until his 60s. He didn't become completely blind until he was around 66.

The new erato

Delius had syphilis which often causes blindness.

If only this had been a thread comparing blind impressionist painters, or even better; blind testing impressionist painters!
