That's only because you haven't spent time with me. :D

Are you flirting, Don?

No - just stating the facts.  Flirting leads to other things, things that I don't engage in due to my loyalty to my lovely wife Ellen Jane.

As usual, I stumbled across this thread late in the game. I've still got tears of laughter streaming down my face. Special thanks to Tony's first post  ;D :D ;D  Brilliant!

Sean, me boy, we need to have a serious discussion... You have so much to learn yet.

Maybe "girl 2" also wanted that other guy "running the place and giving orders" from the start.  Maybe you should have shown "girl 1" what excellent sex is so that she wouldn't have had the "mediocre."  Maybe she really was having excellent sex with the guy giving orders, but she naturally sounds fake (often, not naturally), and maybe your vanity heard otherwise.  Probably not, since she knew (I think) where you were sleeping and that her voice would carry to you.  What a bich.

Maybe "girl 1" did not feel the "chemistry" you thought was there.  Maybe she did.  I have a problem with what you said:  "I like your personality," "you look stunning," and "the surprise" in your room are all overdone.  You could have excited her in the first 5 minutes of talking to her enough for you to have her body.  All these maybe's, how to's, and what could I have done's, represent your failure.  But, like a good man, you admitted this failure with a cool short story.

But insense sticks and candles!!!  That's the surprise!!  Come on!

I'm not entirely sure that one should advertise their sexual misadventures on a more-or-less public Interweb forum.

I agree with Don. Flirt a little. It's fun, and a great way to start getting to know someone. And who knows - it might lead somewhere (i.e. the bedroom) or it might not.

And by the way, Sean, I'd kill that line about her personality. That's like saying, 'Hi. You're not as fit as your mate, but at least when we're done shagging we can have some great conversation.' In short, in situations like that, never let a woman think she's anything but hot. No good adding afterwards that you think she's stunning - it might come across as a bit of an afterthought following reference to her personality. Just relax a bit more, play the game, and if your luck's in, you'll know it, believe me. ;)

That's fine, but still: propriety is, shall we say, something to be valued.

The biggest question regarding this thread is: why did M forever have a link to That Picture?

I am sure that enquiring minds want to know. ;)

I am sure the ammunition was too good to let slip into the oblivion of a broken link, so he backed it up :P

(Btw M, do you still have the picture of Saul in his hat? :D)

Well, I guess I'll be the girl here to jump into the fray. ;)

Quote'...I really like your personality, and you look stunning tonight...I've got a couple of things I'd like to show you in my room if you'd like to come down, kind of a surprise...it'll be okay...'

I'm sorry, Sean, if a guy gave me this line I would run like hell. It sounds more than faintly rapist.

And why you would be upset because you couldn't get the s___ who sleeps with guys she has only known for a few hours is beyond me. More classy guys would be attracted to Girl 1 even more because she turned them down for a possible one-night stand, and *shock* wanted to actually get to know them before getting naked.

Personally I find good discussion a far more provocative thing.

QuoteThe older guy had talked with her for four or five hours straight before making a move- a bit much I thought, but maybe I had something to learn there.

Try four or five months Sean. Then you might actually get somewhere with a shy sensible girl.

But if you'd rather the ones that acquiesce after four or five hours, then have fun, there's one on every corner.

This is the last forum I would expect to find a thread like this, I must say.  You do know if any *decent* girls run across this posting, it totally destroys your chances with them, right?  ;D

QuoteThe biggest question regarding this thread is: why did M forever have a link to That Picture?

Because it is still alive in all its glory in the "Post Your Picture" thread at the old forum and is too outrageous to stay buried in oblivion!

Because M is smart and remembered that someone said he looked like Vinnie Jones in that picture (total nonsense of course). So it took less than one minute to find it in the old forum search.

At least. That's a totally creepy line. Something a serial killer would say in a movie. Besides, "I really like your personality" is so bad I can't believe Sean actually said that. No, wait, it's Sean, so I can believe that.

You already answered the question yourself:

The trouble is, that's precisely what it sounds like. Even the most cerebral women like to feel that others find them physically attractive. :)
