Why did you quote me?

Yeah, that didn't make sense to me, either.  :-\

Quote: 'The exhibition, which opens at The Queen's Gallery in Buckingham Palace on March 19, details how Prince Albert commissioned a statue of himself in Greek armour by Emil Wolff, the German sculptor, for Queen Victoria's 23rd birthday in 1841.'

Now who amongst us has not done the self same thing?

Quote 'Two years later the statue was finally placed on a remote staircase out of the sight of visitors at Osborne House, the queen's palace on the Isle of Wight, and she recorded that the reason for the hesitation had been "Albert thinking the Greek armour with bare legs and feet looked too undressed in a room".
At the prince's request a second version was made, featuring less exposed flesh.'

Yes, merely the forerunner of buying that sombrero in Spain which somehow
looks out of place when you come home to Glasgow.

Why did you quote me? I'm just curious as to why Greg doesn't know the ages of his sister and nieces (I've no interest in knowing myself....any female younger than 53 is too young for me  ;D ) Nothing pruient here.

Sarge

You're innocent. Force of habit had me quote the last post. (Plus you reposted all the pics. :-) )

Veit Bach-a baker who found his greatest pleasure in a little cittern which he took with him even into the mill and played while the grinding was going on. In this way he had a chance to have the rhythm drilled into him. And this was the beginning of a musical inclination in his descendants. JS Bach

This typifies your problem with girls/women in general, Greg. This is the first time you've seen them and you didn't bother to ask your sister or her daughters the most basic questions about their lives?...like what grade they're in, how how old they are?  ;D  Dude, you desperately need to learn how to make conversation  :D

Sarge
I know they're both cheerleaders and go to cheerleading competitions, but not much more than that. They didn't really try to talk to me, either, and I don't normally start conversations, so that's why I can say much more. I did know their ages but forgot them over time. (I have enough trouble remember how old I am  ???).

Saw this in the "what do you look like" thread and grew optimistic that some women had joined the forum.   :(

They're only partially fake, and I like them just fine. 8)
