we used to have someone here who was black, unless he lied. But I think it was awhile ago....

After putting it off and trying to convince myself that my vision hasn't degenerated, I've finally broke down and bought glasses. As if I didn't already look enough like a serial killer. ;D

Run.  >:D

I managed to get by without glasses since they discovered that my vision was impaired in 5th grade until my 1st year in college  :o I mostly made it by squinting in the small classrooms.
In the huge college audiotoriums it just proved impossible to see the exam questions written on the board  :-[

These are cool glasses though, only if they were shades  8)

The owl of Tuonela.

What a coincidence that "tuo" means "death."  >:D

"Tuo" in Italian means "your".
So two meanings: "your" and "death".

"Tuo" does not mean death. Tuonela is the place where the dead go.

That's correct - and I'm impressed! Didn't mean to nitpick btw, but "tuo" is also a word, it means "that" in Finnish. It is also the imperative of the word "bring". "Tuo tuo" would mean "bring that". My Finnish lesson finishes here.  ;D

I started studying Finnish only a few weeks ago, so forgive my mistakes. :)

You're doing fine. Beats me, though, why anyone should start studying Finnish unless they are compulsive linguists or planning to live here. Such an obscure language in every other respect. But hat off, for sure!

"Tuoni" is ancient Finnish, not in regular use.

Actually, I think the frames look a bit too large for the shape of your face. Just my personal reaction.

My grandmother was a mullatto from Southern Italy. Does that count?
