Well, I kind of look like that... same with Kimi...

Did you use photo booth on the iMac? My son and I have made a few of those, they are fun.

Well, I must say, your brother (at least) appears to be making the most of his party!  Good for him, I raise one in his honor.   :)

Wonderful picture, John!  :)  Cheers!

Speaking of birthdays (or birth years, to be more precise), this was my 1974th post.  I was born in 1974.  :D

The next post I make will make this post completely irrelevant.  ;D

Somebody told me today that I look like Ed Exley in LA Confidential.  Although he then went on to add "It's the glasses", which I'm not sure whether to be relieved or disappointed about.

This is a recent photo of me playing the piano:
Beethoven's Op. 133 -- A fugue so bad that even Beethoven himself called it "Grosse".

The Battle of Spotsylvania Courthouse was actually fought a couple of miles away from Spotsylvania Courthouse.  Here is me posing by one of the cannons placed near the park entrance.  This was taken earlier today.  I do have a bunch more photos for the vacation thread, once I get home and uploaded to Flickr.

Nice! I think that I was there when I was little, but I can't remember. My parents and I used to go to a bunch of historic places when we first moved here (I was 2 years old then).

Everyone who can should go visit some of these places.  Solemn and very meaningful.  The worst day of fighting at Spotsylvania resulted in as many casualties (meaning killed, missing, wounded, captured) as occurred on DDay, including both Allied and Axis, about 19,000.  For the full battle, which ran for several days, the total was about 32,000, about 1/5th of the total men involved, with about 4700 killed outright.  By comparison, total dead for June 6, 1944 was about 5000, not including civilians.
