Reality trumps our fantasy far beyond imagination.

Well, it's been 3 months of pretty simple, for me.

*Eating healthy, natural, whole foods (cut out all processed sugars, and vast majority of processed foods).  Reducing carb consumption.
*Exercise (a mix of cardio and resistance/strength/weights) 45 min/3 times a week
*Got off of a night time anti-depressant that was known for weight gain and night time food cravings.  Plus, I wake up refreshed (not groggy) and for the first time in four years, I can dream again!  :)

I still have some little treats now and then:  a glass of red wine or glass of dark beer, and some pieces of dark chocolate.  :)

Feel great, happier, healthier.  I guess for me, life begins at 40.  ;D

Congratulations, Ray! That sounds like an excellent plan. Keep it up! Speaking of weight loss, I went to the doctor for a check-up last year and she said I lost 20 lbs. She asked me what I was doing differently and I said eating less and when I do eat a big meal, I won't eat hardly anything for the rest of the day. Maybe some pistachios or some cereal, but that's about it.

Thanks for divulging even the fascinating contents of the closet! What did the Rubinstein Box do to get banished there...? ;)

Thanks, John.  Actually, for me, this was my downfall.  I wasn't eating breakfast, and rarely lunch.  I would eat a big meal at night time, and snack late at night due to that medication.

Just that it's too big to go elsewhere.

Hold that pose and add a sign saying "Please do not touch the exhibit"!

Is that Cracker Barrel?

It is! We love their homestyle cooking. I'm especially fond of their trout. :)
