Here I am, saying goodbye to the Condé Nast cafeteria, designed by Frank Gehry, after lunch there with a friend. The company is moving its headquarters from Times Square to 1 World Trade Center next week.

I've met Bruce, and I can assure you he looks rather different in person . . . .

Oh yeah, that's right. Probably why I misremembered it as a death.

Isn't it the best when someone thinks about you when he sees a castration scene on television? Silliness aside, you should definitely make the time to watch the show sometime or, better yet, read the books.

Seconded. He's far better put together than the photo suggests.

Truly.

Though perhaps, like any of us, he may have the odd haphazard day . . . .

I ran across this one from an old photo album. This one was taken probably around '98. The location is Hilton Head, SC.

A moment of reflection. This photograph brings back a lot of memories. I remember meeting some nice people on this vacation and even making many friends, which, most of whom, oddly enough, were from Augusta, GA (about two hours away from my city).

Criminy. Have you ever aged fast, you look 60 in that picture with the santa cap.

You seem in a pensive mood the last couple days. My unasked for advice is don't brood.

I get the impression, after a couple posts on the Failed Experiment thread, that someting went wrong recently, that you are kicking yourself for it, letting it get to you. The post above too. Been there, done that. Don't brood or obsess.

I think that was his goal lol ("I will try not to overanalyze things").

My friend and I went ice skating at a new ice rink that opened up outside of the mall five minutes from my house. I hadn't been ice skating for probably 15 years. Here is me in a rare moment I wasn't slipping and falling.

My friend was going nice and slow, but didn't fall once. I'd build up speed and then slip or crash into a wall every minute. We probably had the same average speed overall.
Beethoven's Op. 133 -- A fugue so bad that even Beethoven himself called it "Grosse".

Let your friend do the driving.

Thanks, Ken. I'm actually feeling much better today. I'm actually especially happy since I saw the postman deliver my Boulez Complete Columbia box set. Now, this is a real beauty! ;D
