Seems I have rudely swayed about the place without introducing myself.

Moviemaker, communications specialist, cosmopolite.
Addicted to music, theatre and comprehensible art (a very wide definition applies).
Hard to pin down exactly where I live, as I have just sold my house and am weighing options: up sticks for another country, or find something within a sensible perimeter?
Who knows?

What I do know is that I am having a blast planning how to incorporate the latest in digital storage and retrieval techniques when setting up the music system I am going to have in the new place, wherever that ends up being. And I'm seeking a fine balance between classic audio treasures in amplification/speakers and the very latest in hidden digital technology.
It's as if I am rediscovering my sense of hearing  while assessing what gives me the frisson I usually connect with live performances.

Looking forward to learning a lot from the wildly erudite lot in here. Apologies in advance for the extent to which my unfettered enthusiasm will trample toes.
