Hi, I thought I'd share my rendition on Bach's famed Goldberg Variations. With a slight twist, the whole set being played on a concert accordion. Blasphemy to some, interesting surprise to others.

I hope I will finally finish the groundwork and I am at the moment negotiating with some Baroque festivals to put it in their seasons. Of course, many Early Music Festivals are just into authentic instruments but so far, this project has been very well received in my recitals. I hope to get to perform this great work as a whole soon.

In case you like what you here, you are welcome to subscribe or share. Many thanks :)

Have a nice day !

In the meantime, there are composers who are alive (composers who are alive? who does that?) who write music, some of it for accordion.

A living performer playing music by a living composer. Now there's a radical idea....

ivsverko

Indeed it is. Who does that ! :o

On a more serious note, my repertoire mostly consist of original works by living composers some of it quite contemporary.. you know, the kind of stuff you need a calculator when reading the score.  Gubaidulina, Berio, Lindberg.. some of those whose accordion pieces I perform.

But that can't stop me from playing something composed by my favorite composer, living or not. :)

Hey, what if I write you something that doesn't want a calculator to read? ; )

(Fair disclosure: I love the Goldbergs, myself.)
