'Plus one' or '+1' or plus 1' or '+ one' in this thread means you're also listening to the same thing..

Don't get Bruckner overload - we need you in the blind comparison game FINALS. Speaking of which, that's what I'm listening to!

Ivo Pogorelich playing the Schumann Fanatsy a few weeks ago, the third movement is particularly strange. Full of ideas, very original and challenging. Deeply felt and refined.

One of the great attractions of the Kraus set is all the chamber music, such as the LvB Violin Sonatas with Willi Boskovsky.  Lili and Willi make a great team in the early going.

From eClassical: FLAC 24-bit, digital booklet included.

Well, to say it quickly and with no hesitation:  it's a stellar recording. Brutally beautiful and a must-have, both for seasoned listeners as newcomers.

Approach, singing, playing and sound quality are all truly top notch.

Me, too! That excellent Gluck included. But I was waiting for something slightly different: more-Giardino-Armonico-style, wilder... a bit more "disheveled".

Good point, I didn't know it.

Does it have the Mozart with Goldberg? They're the ones I value the most. I remember some really good Schubert too, duos with Boskowsky on violin and piano duets with Homero de Magalhaes-- if they're in there it's well worth hearing.

Been away @ the beach for a little bit and only had what was on my iPod, so a potpourri of music! :)

But now back w/ a new composer to me - a CD purchase and a MP3 DL (keyboard works) of:

Wolf, Ernst Wilhelm (1735-1792) - Symphonies & Keyboard Sonatas, the latter on the clavichord (believe that I may have posted this recording before my trip) - Dave

It's got all that.  It's one of the best executed big boxes I've encountered, and it forgoes the original jacket concept to deliver 31 full length discs.
