Very nice.  I recently purchased the DVD which examines what we know about Perotin and features performances of the Hilliard Ensemble.

Up to now I've only found organ recordings of music by Bernardo Pasquini that I've enjoyed, Ennio Cominetti and Letizia Romiti. I'll certainly try to check out those duets. Have you heard this?

Listening to Symphony No. 4. Such a beautiful work. I could listen to this over and over but then I would be depriving myself of other music. :)

This is one of the best Easter oratorios I´ve ever heard. It sets to music the ubiquitous 18th-century-Metastasio-libretto that so many others splendidly made use of... but this one is really in a league of its own.

Hi Andrei - just received the above and did a quick listen - today will be more serious and also read the liner notes - thanks for the recommendation - Dave :)

The Largo is exquisite.  I don't absolutely say that it is my favorite performance of that movement, but gracious, it's right up there.

I admit I both enjoy the intense vigor of Lenny's start of the fourth movement, and note that he does seem to be disregarding the second and third words of the marking Allegro non troppo.  Still, fearless music-making, and entirely winning.

Bearing in mind that nearly all of this is new to me, I almost involuntarily found myself saying "Gershwin!" at a couple of points.

Much as I like the Gershwin concerto, I don't think Rachmaniniov would have been pleased.

Well, I'll make sure I give him a wide berth...
