You can find all the 12 Noels for organ Daquin composed in the 2nd CD of this set:

Nice! Let me see if I can find that in my internet shop. Thanks Andrei!

I'm glad that I am beginning to warm to Bach:

An eye opener! :)  Really impressive Telemann, these accompanied sonatas for violin or flute, which are here perfectly performed in alternation on both instruments.

Are they viola or cello quintets (and shame on me for not knowing!) ...?

Beethoven followed the Mozart example (and not the Boccherini) by using 2 violas.

Now playing from the Boulez Columbia mega box:

Listening to Sheherazade. Absolutely gorgeous.
Absolutely agree...a wonderful performance of a fantastic composition!!! Surprisingly, this Shéhérazade was not included when these Ravel songs were resissued in the "white" Boulez edition  ??? ... now, in the mega-box, that wrong has been righted  :)

CD 3 & 4 from this set, some surprising christmas music. I skipped over some horrible music by Schoenberg and Webern. Both composer can ruin the christmas feelings in just 5 seconds.

Somehow, 12 tone Christmas (or spectral Christmas for that matter) just don't sound right...

Boccherini, Luigi - Symphonies, Op. 21 - left some posts in the Boccherini thread including one concerning his symphonies of which I had nearly all except the Op. 21 works - so went to Classicsonline and purchased the Goritzki performances (basically Vol. 4 + first 3 tracks of Vol. 5) - burned to CD-R and listened this morning - quite good!  Dave :)

Very nice to know, Ritter. I'm certainly glad I bought this Boulez Columbia set. I was familiar with majority of the performances already but it's nice to find some gems that I didn't own in my existing collection.
