As a very happy owner of that box, I can tell you that that is one of the 4-5 best such giant boxes and it will provide you many hours of good returns.

Nice haul. I remember liking Immerseel's Schubert a lot, and the Kavakos-Wang Brahms sonata I heard on the radio was excellent.

I'm hoping this will be my last purchase of the year or at least until after Christmas. If I keep telling myself this, I should be fine.

I've enjoyed what I've heard from Immerseel, both as a pianist (in Beethoven's Piano Concerti) and Symphony cycle.  So, I was interested in that.

I haven't bought into the cassette revival, but as random music recordings go, you could do a lot worse than Roy Orbison.

Walked into Barnes and Noble and discovered they had a brace of Sony budget boxes,  and walked out with three of them
Early Domingo (five CDs worth of arias, no complete operas)
Yo Yo Ma plays Cello Masterworks
Itzchak Perlman Concertos, Sonatas, etc.

Some of the Perlman and Ma are duplicates for me, but at about $13 for each, after coupons and member discount, why not?

I may go back for the Horowitz plays Great Sonatas, although that would be a tad more expensive, at about $20.

Interesting timing. After years of zero compendiums of the complete Lutoslawski piano music, with only a handful of pieces appearing on miscellaneous recitals, this summer I reviewed a compilation on the Dux label, with pianist Veronique Briel, and next year we're getting an album by Corinna Simon. (Another odd coincidence: the pianists are all women.)
