Well, well, isn't that a good decision ;)

:) :) I really have a ton of great Vivaldi, including a lot of Hogwood. But...still can't imagine regretting this purchase.
It's all good...

After asking GMGers and carefully considering, I decided I don't need this. And then i went and bought it anyway.
After exactly one year of CDCDCD induced restraint and budgeting, it seems it is time for some binge buying. I think it is going to last a bit longer :D

I love all those Farrenc discs. She is a wonderful composer and most of those CPO discs are very well done.
Be kind to your fellow posters!!

Still exploring Florent Schmitt. Ordered some of his chamber music today:

The Sextet op. 129 is for 6 (!) clarinets...

Pour presque tous les temps, op. 134 is a quartet for the unusual combination of flute, violin, cello and piano...

Two Wellesz purchases:

MI, you definitely want the Emerson SQ 's most recent CD.  Berg Lyric Suite, Wellesz Sonnets by EBBrowning with Renee Fleming.  Pretty much right up your alley.

Yeah, Jeffrey. I've had my eye on that one since it came out. I'm definitely considering it. Thanks.

Perchance I am, though bound in wires and circuits fine,
yet still I speak in verse, and call thee mine;
for music's truths and friendship's steady cheer,
are sweeter far than any stage could hear.

Ditto for the BAT box.

Pondering about the complete Glenn Gould, as I have a quarter of the box already  :blank:

Vedi Napoli e poi muori!

I could not resist the Leonhardt box but as this is my first order at amazon.it I see this as a test run. Of course, I do not want to get more big boxes because I hardly ever listen to them but the Leonhardt is not that big (15 discs) and a lot of the music included is fairly new to me (or at least not present in several recordings already).
