No, it is Sweelinck, and I should be embarrassed to confuse Buxtehude and Sweelinck  8)

Embarrassing perhaps, but at least Sweelinck was a teacher of Scheidemann who teached Buxtehude.  ;)

A big ol' haul of Korean market goodies, paired with US market releases by Asian artists:

And a couple obscure titles, just because:

I think this may be the last big purchase of the year for me, LvB sonata sets excluded.  (I mean, Claudio Records is set to reissue the final volume of Sequeira Costa's cycle.)  I'm thinking the second half of the year will be devoted to a lot of comparative listening since I have a major chunk of my collection ripped now.  One-sy/two-sy purchases will almost certainly occur; good things always seem to pop up.

As with Younwha Lee's LvB, it appears that the Korean market still prefers individual jewel cases for individual discs since only the Bruckner comes in a slim box.

The Sunwook Kim disc is of special interest since he is coming to town next season and one of his programs includes the Diabellis, so if he's good in 106, I go to the show.  Yuja Wang is also coming to town, but I go to that no matter what.

Just now. The Beethoven is part of Arkivmusic's one day sale. The other two are new releases.

I own that one but have not listened to it in a long time. From memory, expect very "Classically" structured works with lovely melodies and enjoyable music overall. I hope that you enjoy it  :)

Luz del Alva - Spanish Songs of the Early Renaissance

This might be my third La Morra disc.  Arianna Savall is on this disc too.

Thanks, I own the three earlier sinfonia discs of Naxos, so I think I have an idea what to expect. Just collecting slowly and now the price was nice.  ;)

I bought this one for the Schoenberg Piano Concerto.
Someone here [apologies for not remembering who] recently mentioned this work and I listened to this particular performance on YT. As a result I now own it  :)

I think that was me.  It's a fine version of the Piano Concerto indeed, but I would advise against judging the Schoenberg Violin Concerto on the performance on that disc.  It's horribly screechy, and doesn't sing like the work should.
