French Amazon, SDCB alert for the Diotima set.
[asin]B01872MKD2[/asin]

Not sure what was the SDCB, as French amazon didn't actually offer it itself when I saw it (3-17 weeks delivery usually means out of print), but I went for a "like new" copy (some 23€ incl. shipping) after reading up about this set and the group - thanks for the alert! (Have LaSalle and more ancient ones: Kolisch and Juilliard - but no recent recordings of these).

This was heavily discounted. I got to know Fernando Sor's music through Narciso Yepes's recording of the Études on LP many, many years ago and remember enjoying it very much. I've neglected him since, though.

That is a fine set which you should derive plenty of pleasure from  :)

Wonderful!  The La Grange biography is a treasure trove of information and a detailed portrait of a whole era.
"l do not consider my music as atonal, but rather as non-tonal. I feel the unity of all keys. Atonal music by modern composers admits of no key at all, no feeling of any definite center." - Arnold Schoenberg

The SDCB was that it was being offered by amazon.fr at 7.76€ plus shipping. As I said, I snatched up the last copy at that price. They say it is "en cours de préparation", so I think they'll fulfill the order. It should be here on Tuesday... :)

Oh, wow! Amazing bargain indeed. Had a few similar ones from aFR over the years, I think including a naïve box ... but with the label having gone belly-up, that's all the nicer!

Thanks to recent recommendations (you know who you are  :)), I purchased this:

.

And gave the thumbs up to this too:

I love Philippe Pierlot's work. Never been disappointed with the Ricercar label either. I rather prefer the St-John to the St-Matthew Passion. I find it allows for more variety of interpretive approach than its big brother, therefore a multiplicity of versions is a self-fulfilling prophecy.

A highly regarded recording, so it seemed worth a try.
