That's too bad. But there are still 4 volumes you can sink your teeth in !

I'm interested to know more about his music.

That's certainly true! I'll definitely post some thoughts once I heard some of these recordings.

Just now from Arkivmusic

The operetta box calls for comment. Beyond two recordings of the Merry Widow, I have no operetta in my collection, not even Fledermaus. So this seemed a good solution, especially at the price ($29.99 US). And since it is available on Amazon US Marketplace for $115 and up, it probably counts as a SDCB

Let me know what you think about that Martinů symphony set (w/ Meister), Jeffrey. Do you own any of the other Martinů symphony cycles?

Perhaps you saw a different  listing (sometimes Amazon has multiple listings, which can really be a pain) - its similar on marketplace, but a little higher on prime (see link below). Importcds sells it for $26.91.

Cheers Karl. I am no expert on organs or organists but Saorgin is one that I like so I look forward to hearing this set  :)

A wise move, I think.

BTW what do you think of Rogg's Buxtehude?

I was not disappointed there as I really liked it. I thought that the playing was very fluid but assured.

Some time ago I was tempted to get this set for the princely sum of $8.24.

Why Pletnev's Eroica twice?

I'm not even sure if it was worth it the first time. ;) ;D

I'm not expert, either  :)  . . . I do have the Spang-Hanssen 6-CD box, and (as it turned out) I listened to a bit of it in the car last night.  I do like it.

I bought just the symphony edition of this set. Listened to the 9th on YouTube and sampled the rest on iTunes, and I like what I heard. Plus I'm a fan of Harnoncourt's RCO cycle, and honestly a fan of Harnoncourt in general.
