Found it! Will give it a spin. Thanks, Andre.

Penderecki: A Polish Requiem
Klosinska (soprano), Rappé (alto), Minkiewicz (tenor), Nowacki (bass)
Warsaw National Philharmonic Choir & Orchestra/Wit

My 14th disc of Penderecki's music. Still at least three more from Antoni Wit's cycle that I want to get.

Oops.

I don't know when I'll have time for, or where I'll have space for, the big ol' Salonen box, but the repertoire was just too darn interesting and filled too many little holes in my collection.

Lutoslawski, Lars-Erik Larsson, I am kinda curious about the cantata (?!) by Wynton Marsalis, the Bach arrangements, his own compositions (of which I do wish there were more)... There are some awful good concerto recordings of core rep too with Ax, Bronfman, and Lin, plus I have, believe it or not, just 3 Stravinsky CDs.  :o

You have one more than you need, Petrushka and Pulcinella fit on just 2.  ;D

That's just wrong, Andrei They fit just fine on a single disc.

The performances are quite wonderful, too - not least the Pulcinella with Anna Caterina Antonacci, Pietro Ballo, and William Shimell.

Oddly enough that Petrushka (but not the Pulcinella) is on the 2 CD Chailly set that comprises 2 of my 3 Stravinsky CDs. It is excellent.

You do need at least a Firebird suite! There are many good ones. My third disc is a complete Firebird with Boulez on DG, but 90 percent of the time I just go for the quick adrenaline hit of the suite.

Also I have just remembered that thanks to the huge Leonard Bernstein box sets, I probably have more like 5 or 6 Stravinsky CDs. Oops!

I have the Boulez 6-CD DG box, a Brilliant 3-CD box with the ballets and two BIS discs with music for violin & piano. I rarely, if ever, listen to anything else than Petrushka and Pulcinella.  :D

I have around 42 discs and still need two or three more.  8)

Oooh that's right, the BIS violin and piano stuff is actually super duper good. North Star should grab it. But I listen to it on streaming.  0:)

Well, I already have the awesome violin & piano set from Anthony Marwood & Thomas Adès on Hyperion, so I don't really need it..  8)

This for starters. I'd include Stravinsky's 1940 Petrouchka, but it's only part of the big box.

No Les Noces? No Symphony of Psalms? None of the later works?
Dear, dear.....

Although a very good version of Les Noces and some of the others should be found in those Bernstein boxes....
