Just realized I never posted this order off Amazon MP I made the other day

Never heard three of these operas, and the Lucia features Callas.

I bought this fine book about J.S. Bach today, and looking forward to reading it. In the light of the many Bach recordings I bought, it's understandable that I want to go in depth about his organ works, and know more about his composing technique.

Harry - just checked Amazon and I bought that book back in 2010 and still have on the shelf - enjoyed - Dave :)

Ordered at JPC a selection from the Toccata label, with massively reduced prices. 246 titles available.

So thanks for the O'Brien rec! :) I added that one to my order. Others I got were one Tovey, Mielck, Ernst, Ashton, the Thierot (as per your urging :)), Dussek, Bargiel, Damrosch, and Ropartz. I also got these (as well as a ETA Hoffman Mass):
[asin]8460830179[/asin]
[asin]B0037UTT98[/asin]
[asin]B00I9OFUCC[/asin]

I couldn't find that Martinu recommended by Brian, so that is duly noted for the future.
Be kind to your fellow posters!!

Excellent choices Neal, all cd's you ordered I have, except Ropartz and Damrosch.
Von Schacht is a very fine recording, you will enjoy that one.

Looks like they don't have it in stock, but for future reference, this is the CD Brain was talking about ;)

It's okay! It happens to me 6-7 times a year. The first one was the most memorable - at age 6, I got my very first piece of junk mail, an invitation from Delta Airlines to become a frequent flier, addressed to Brain...

Consider it a compliment.

Noting of course the title of this set should be The Not Actually Complete Works or The Complete Works Which Have Opus Numbers

I'd be interested to know whether you think the Brahms here feels different from his normal approach. I'm not sure and I'm not sure what I think of it. (I played it yesterday.)

Switched to opera as a browser. I keep getting some kind of gasometer and other unmovable  pop-ups with others
Was downtown today and bought the ROZYCKI Piano Concertos
and the current BBC Magazine for the cover disc which also includes MacCUNN's The Ship o' the Fiend - not shown on the cover or label, just on the back of the cover.

From a MP seller at Italian Amazon:

[asin]B00DT2322E[/asin]

Current development in stock and price made me act now.
Perhaps this Italian edition will be succeeded by an international one like in the case of the Hogwood Mozart symphonies set, but I didn't want to risk it....
And unlike the Italian edition of that set, this reportedly has English liner notes.... 8)
