At the moment? Gloating:

Did I not predict it? Hellgate had that look of "this-will-be-good-but-not-great" from quite a distance, if you ask me. :P

Well, considering how low WoW started I have big hope for the future of HG:L (atm the worst content in WoW is the only content it had on release). I enjoyed the beta (which I possibly committed minor fraud by using an exploit to get into), and they improved it a lot throughout that, and will presumably continue to.

Incidentally, and even though I play with game music on and off depending on my mood (on more often than off), I've found that Tchaikovsky and Mahler appear to go well with WoW, while Bruckner and Sibelius do not. Though perhaps I need to conduct more observation, to assert that claim.  :o

I tended to have a lot of RVW and Dvorak playing during WoW. With RVW's symphonies in various moods, I could use, say, 4, 6 and 7 for Burning Steppe type areas, 1, 3, 8 and 9 for ambiguous ones, and 2 and 5 for green ones :P Haydn - I have yet to find anything that he sounds out of place during, he is the most amazingly all-purpose playlist guy ever. Occasionally it brings up surprising similarities through what is going on in-game through coincidence - eg the beginning of sym 82 during the final minute of a BG, or the finale of 44 when rather desperately defending a WSG base, and in general the constant up-tempo is engaging.

My guild wasn't very happy that I didn't turn their voice chat channel on as it would drown out the music I had on. Fortunately rogue is an "even if I knew what was going on with buffs and heals, I couldn't do anything about it" class, so as long as I was top dps, it was irrelevent :D I did miss some occasional fun as well though, as apparently one of our raid leaders (though he was not nasty) was the most amazingly bad tempered person sometimes, and this was very noticable on voice chat. I saved some fun chat logs though, including one of a raid that failed due to half the party being under the influence of drink, and in one case, weed. That caused a very fun "debate" : D

Haydn is a brilliant idea! For some reason, his music never crossed my mind to use as a soundtrack for gaming, before: I'll try it ASAP. 8)

Concerning people being drunk and/or high in WoW, I've seen enough in guild-chat to be able to imagine what happened in those raids. :P

And as for voice-chat, well, you've probably seen this! :D

To be on topic, I am ranting right now. ;)

The Paris and certain Sturm und Drang ones tend to be the ones I gravitate towards - the London ones, being more developed in form and with extensive adagio intros, tend to be less lively and therefore not as helpful with encouraging accurate button clicks :P I forgot, but a substantial amount of background music I used as early music as well - although that may be simply because I like it, rather than it actually fitting.

Indeedie. I was even more surprised to find out later, that that Ony raid wasn't a wipe, it just didn't go perfectly. The animated video was successful as it sounded like stuff really screwed up. There's a video of the full one somewhere (presumably also on Youtube). This has made me nostalogic for WoW, grr... I went through my screenshot folder and located one fun drama: 1, 2, 3, 4. The cool thing is because everybody knew each other well, the insults were forgotten the next day, hehe...

Edit: Shiiva was constantly over-aggroing as shamans are spectacularly bad at dumping aggro, and we were fighting for top DPS. It was good to be a rogue - so many ways out of trouble...

One of my guild-mates' brother was in that guild, and presumably in that very Onyxia raid: and he confirms that the raid leader was very much between "unstable" and "totally off-the-rocker", on a daily basis.

And those raid screenshots were entirely epic, too. Perfect for "Morning Lolz", to paraphrase Grieg. :D

About to become herbally challenged.

Feeling pretty miserable and can't wait to go to the doctor this afternoon to find out what is causing my sore throat and mild fever (and hopefully to fix it).  :-\  What a way to return to work after a few days' vacation!   :P

Still fighting the flu here...was hoping for a 24 hour bout.  No such luck.

Sorry to hear that, I hope you feel better soon.  Hopefully my luck is better.   ;D

I am thinking: if I were to suddenly find a rich benefactor, and never have to work again, would I still go university? I think so.

I'm wondering if having a type of tea for a username makes me sound like a goober, and if I should change it.    ???

I like your screen name. It's cool and different. Don't change it ... unless you really want to. :-\

Thanks. :)  I probably won't change it because if I did it would likely be something of similar quality, even if not tea related.  (Gerolsteiner, anyone?)

huh..... i've gotta turn off the sound and listen to music when i get FFXII. At least during the times when (as in most RPGs) you have to train a little more to get experience.
